Returns & Refund Policy

Melua Interiors

At Melua Interiors, we take great care in selecting beautiful décor and furniture pieces for our customers. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, please review our returns and exchanges policy below.

Exchanges

We offer exchanges within 7 days of purchase for in-store items.

To qualify for an exchange:

  • Items must be returned within 7 days

  • Items must be unused, in their original condition, and in original packaging

  • A valid proof of purchase must be provided

Exchanges may be made for:

  • An item of equal or greater value (difference payable), or

  • An in-store voucher to the value of the returned item

Refunds

Please note that Melua Interiors does not offer refunds for change of mind purchases.

Refunds will only be considered in accordance with the South African Consumer Protection Act (CPA) if an item is found to be defective, damaged, or not fit for its intended purpose.

In such cases, customers may be entitled to:

  • A repair

  • A replacement

  • Or a refund, where applicable

These rights apply within 6 months of purchase as outlined in the CPA.

Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned or exchanged:

  • Gift cards or vouchers

  • Items that have been used, damaged after purchase, or altered

  • Custom-made or specially ordered items

Condition of Returns

All returned items must:

  • Be in their original condition

  • Include original packaging

  • Not show signs of use, wear, or damage

Melua Interiors reserves the right to decline an exchange if the item does not meet the above conditions.

Customers are responsible for all shipping costs associated with exchanges.
For items valued over R1500, we recommend using a trackable courier service, as Melua Interiors cannot guarantee receipt of returned items.

Gifts

If an item was purchased as a gift, the recipient may exchange the item for:

  • An item of equal value, or

  • An in-store voucher for the purchase value

Proof of purchase may be required.

Product Disclaimer

Due to lighting, photography, and screen settings, colours and finishes may vary slightly from images shown online or in marketing material. Many décor pieces are handcrafted or individually finished, meaning slight variations may occur. These differences are part of the uniqueness of each item.
